Purchasing Terms and Guidelines

All prices subject to change and negotiable before official purchase completed.

Prints are available of any paintings or other non-printed artworks unless artwork has been sold and is under contractual agreement to not be reproduced.  

All prints are sold as one of a kind and can be reproduced but will never be reproduced in exactly the same way.  

All artworks are sold with authentic signature and seal of artist.

Artworks displayed on website are uploaded to site with lower resolution for security purposes. Any artworks shown on site can also be shown by appointment for higher quality viewing in person, via print/ mail, online chat or via telephone.  We do encourage you to contact us and ask any questions that you may have about the artworks listed on this site as they can be collaboratively co-created/designed with the artist as prints, multiples and as commissioned paintings/multimedia artworks.

All prints noted on this page can be printed on the paper/ground noted on print pricing page. Under no circumstances will jack gurmanart.com or iampaintingnow.com print on canvas or sell prints on canvas as “paintings”. 

All artworks on this page are reflective of the titles that refer to artworks that are above titles on all artwork display pages unless noted on display pages or otherwise.

Small scale, true to life prints can be ordered for a small fee for patrons who are interested in seeing the artworks off screen before making a final decision to purchase full-scale paintings.

Such prints will be provided with watermarks and full disclosure about art reproduction rights for said prints.

Artworks shown on the website are as close to how the artworks really look. Every effort has been made to make artworks identical in hue, composition, saturation and gradation of light and shadow, as well as line quality.  Of course no screen can quite arrive at the detail or dynamic painterly qualities of actual paint on canvas.

Explanation of Authenticity of Paintings and Authenticity of Prints:

     All paintings sold on this website are authentic, real, one-of-a-kind paintings made with the human hand, heart, mind and soul. The layers of paint are applied with a brush and sold as a painting should be, with layers of paint applied on canvas, linen or some form of thick paper of other suitable substrate. The paintings on this site are actual paintings rather than a printed reproduction on canvas with a small amount of paint applied to confuse the patron, buyer or viewer into believing that they are seeing a real painting. Although “representational art” is academically known to mean the creation of symbols and definable forms, akin to more “realistic” art rather than “abstraction”, the act of painting itself is representational. It represents the authentic self of the artist, an authentic vision, expression and communication of something true. To make art is to create a representation.To misrepresent a painting as a print is therefore truly the antithesis of art itself.   

Notes about pricing:

Paintings are priced based on length of time spent working on them, amount of materials used/size of artworks. Over time prices also factor in the number of pieces sold, as they increase in value as more are sold.

NFS refers to Not for sale. Sold means sold. Sold and available for prints, means that prints of the same piece are available as altered or reproduced (but never identical reproductions).  Reproduction rights for artworks are agreed upon by seller and buyer, including but not limited to reproduction rights of artist/ seller and patron/buyer.   Art reproduction rights are noted and agreed upon in sales contract and transferred to subsequent buyers. Changes to art reproduction contract/ sales contract can only be made between owner/buyers and artist/seller, meaning if one owner resells artwork the art reproduction terms of original contract remain unless subsequent owner of artwork contacts and renegotiates terms of original contract, irregardless of change in price or value of original artwork over time. 

All prices of artworks are negotiable and multiple artworks can be purchased within different pricing strata based on the number of pieces and in relation to art and other financial markets. 

All purchased artworks can be exchanged for other artworks of a similar value including prints respective of print prices and per agreement of shipping charges between seller and buyer.

All artworks are also available for forms of trade however current (2024) common forms of currency are preferred.

Notes on shipping and framing:

Shipping costs are factored into all items for sale for one way shipping. Shipping cost items exchanged for agreed upon items of equal value will be determined per agreement between buyer and seller before exchange occurs.

Standard frame is included for all non print media, customized frames are to be determined via agreement between buyer and seller.

Frames for print media (prints) are an extra charge and added to order based on agreement between buyer and seller. All orders of prints with framing not specified will be shipped via appropriately sized shipping tube with unpacking instructions and ample wrapping.  

Exchanges for all damages are waived by buyer unless noted at time of delivery to delivery personnel (regarding damage to external packaging) prior to unpacking, and without notification to seller within twenty four hours after delivery arrival. In other words exchanges are not permissible if both delivery personnel has been made aware and they note that there is exterior damage to packaging, damage to actual artwork (as well as exterior packaging) and seller is notified within twnety four hours of documented delivery date/time. Exchanges for artworks are permissable only if artworks themselves are damaged. Damaged frames that are reported using the same previous protocols can be replaced free of charge but damaged frames do not constitute damaged artworks. All sales are final per agreement between buyer and seller. Buyer and seller must agree on timeframe for requested exchanges upon purchase of item and terms by which items are exchanged. Seller retains all documentation regarding any sales made as well as visual documentation of exact packing methods, signatures, seals and crating.
