“Significance”
The artworks of “Significance” are watercolors and paintings that have been created from sincere spiritual discipline, be it arduous meditation, contemplation of gospel, Zen koan or by studying the lives of yogis and saints.
My goal was to bring together the healing stories and histories of the great lights of our time through the artist to the patron, to bring forth spiritual recollections, refocused determination and balance to the world.

Visual Art; Prayer Through Spiritual Representation
Spiritual iconography differs from religious iconography in the sense that the artist is unbound by cultural and institutional frameworks and yet can be informed by and inform them. The artist as an individual representative of what is true challenges and enlivens definitive modes of representation, bringing spiritual icons and symbolism into a present moment world of possibility. It is in this context that the artist fulfills one of his responsibilities: to bring about cultural innovation through spiritual experience. With the understanding that the artist is an individual expressing novel revelation to the world, the context of “significance” is defined and redefined. Signs, icons, symbols viewed and presented anew are an integral part of the images, words, paintings, prints and illustrations. The reimagining reveals and hence furthers the freedom of mankind.
